Hey guys! I hope all of you had a nice little holiday, Thanksgiving break! I wanted to do a little update on how I’m doing as rock girl lately. There have been so many awesome events going on and I love seeing more and more faces become familiar to me as I attend them. I can not believe my term here at WRIF is half way over already! Even though many of you still refer to me as the “new” WRIF girl. LOL. I feel that I’ve learned so much already from my short time here at the station, and although I never had plans to work in radio, or never really a huge interest in how it all works, I have to say I truly do enjoy doing what I do here! In addition to writing my reports daily, I had the pleasure of Jade teaching me how to use their equipment to record and edit my own reports everyday Monday through Friday. I understand my radio voice a little better, hahaha, and I definitely have had a good look at how hard everyone here works behind the scenes at the station. There is a LOT more to it all than most of you may realize. I’m definitely a busy gal between working here at the station and weekly events all over, bartending, AND continuing to do professional makeup on the side! But I am loving it and focusing on building myself! I’m ready to kick ass and have a ton of fun with all of you guys for my remaining time as your rock girl! So stay tuned, and follow up, because colder months does NOT mean we are taking a break here at the WRIF. We have plenty to look forward to in the next several months, including the 12 Days of Riffmas where we will be giving away tons of awesome, signed rock memorabilia this December, Greta Van Fleet is coming back to ROCK US at St. Andrew’s Hall and we still have tickets to the SOLD OUT show, as well as tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra on December 23rd, Halestorm and Stone Sour on February 10th, Pop Evil is coming to town, and SO much more. You can directly click these links I hooked up for you, or visit our entire events page by clicking here, to see everything in between! Come catch me at an event near you and you’ll have a chance to score some tickets to something big!
Keep being awesome Detroit. Have a lovely frickin’ week. 🙂
