The Michigan Triangle is a part of Lake Michigan. The first side of the triangle is formed by connecting Ludington to Benton Harbour, Michigan. The second side is formed from Benton Harbour to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The third side is formed from Manitowoc back to Ludington. The bizarre occurrences in the area of the magnificent lake have been the cause of curiosity among researchers for centuries. (Photo by Hulton Archive/Getty Images)

Dave Hunter: We love heading out to sleeping bear dunes. The views and the water are amazing!

Seeing as I’m not a big vacation guy and I generally dislike touristy areas I’m going to go with any baseball diamond in Michigan. There’s tons of great baseball that is played in Michigan all spring and summer long. It’s generally where you will find me on some baseball diamond somewhere doesn’t matter if it’s super hot outside or windy and rainy. It’s still the place I’d want to be.

I have always been a huge fan of morning radio, mainly the comedy aspect of the shows and listened everyday on my way to work and school. I had an opportunity to intern at WRIF and jumped at it. When I made it on morning radio I wanted to give a female perspective while staying true to being myself no matter what anyone else said. I am lucky to be spending so many years back at WRIF with smart, funny and inspirational women.

Lisa Way: A few favorite spots: Lakeshore Resort Saugatuck on Lake Michigan, Suttons Bay, Higgins Lake for the turquoise water, Hotel Walloon, Walloon Lake, John Cross Fisheries in Charlevoix for the most delicious smoked salmon ever.

    Jade!

Jade: My favorite place(s) in Michigan has to be the beaches along the Lake Michigan shoreline. I’ve never been to a beach that hasn’t been breathtakingly beautiful, offered activities and a huge beach to hang out and chill. I would also add in the Grand Traverse Bay where the Old Mission Lighthouse is located. When I went there, my friend and I had originally just decided to drive up the coast of the bay and look at the houses. When we reached the end we saw there was a lighthouse and decided to go check it out. What we found was a diamond in the rough. The point of the bay has one of the most beautiful beaches where the water is as warm as the Caribbean (in the summer) and the sunset is magnificent!

    Meltdown
Meltdown: I love riding my Harley towards the west. Hell, Pinkney, Stockbridge, and the like. Heading “Up North” is always fun, especially to Traverse City. One place I’d love to really travel is the U.P. It was always fun to travel the state with my kids hockey teams. Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids/Big Rapids, St. Ignace, and a lot of rinks down here. I really like when the state starts to show some more diverse landscape about halfway to the U.P.. I like the hillier areas, and backroads up there.

Aimee: I love Marquette! The bike trails are incredible. The main one leads to the downtown area where you can get a beer! Also, Ciccone Vinyard in Sutton’s Bay and Traverse City. Detroit is tops though: Eastern Market, The Riverwalk and Belle Isle.

    Jonel Jaksa:

I lived on the east side most of my life and it wasn’t til I moved to the west side 6 years ago that I was introduced to Hines Park in Wayne County. Great winding walkways through beautiful landscapes. Fantastic picnic areas and playgrounds. Disc golf, baseball diamonds and basketball hoops. Fishing and kayaking. And of course, the Wayne County Light Fest winding through the park during the holidays. Another spot I’ve always liked is Port Huron and the Blue Water Area. I worked at a radio station in Port Huron for a number of years and their downtown area is an underrated gem. Mostly because of the number of cool bars and pubs! Their annual St. Patrick’s Pub Crawl is always a great time and most every place is within walking distance.

Michigan is such a beautiful state. I absolutely love all the lakes. Truth be told, I’m more of an ocean girl, but when summer hits, I love just staring at the lovely blue lakes across the Great Lakes State. My favorite spot is probably my uncle’s home off Lake Michigan. It’s right on the lake with a perfect, private view of the water.
