Recently, I came across a story about the cost of a family of four to take in an NFL game between the year 2012 to last season. The research done by U.S. Betting Report, determined the cheapest to most expensive afternoon/evening spent, according to the Fan Cost Index (FCI). They took in the cost of four average tickets, two small draft beers, four small pops, four regular sized hot dogs, parking, two programs, and the two least expensive adult-sized adjustable hats. (I rounded the numbers out for easier reading.)
