The Hell Saloon is a must-visit for everyone.

Last week on my socials, I asked about your favorite Michigan restaurants. I had a few people comment on how they were keeping an eye on the post to look for some different places to go to. I'll admit, I was, too.

Here's a list of Ten of my favorite places to go eat locally. A couple things to remember....my list is in no order. Because I live on the westside, most of the places are over on that side of town. Oh, I love local places. Please feel free to hit me up with any places I should venture to on my Harley, or with the wife.

Some friends and me at Jerry's Pub in the summer of 2022.Meltdown

Jerry's Pub on Wamplers Lake in the Irish Hills

This place is a great destination, especially during the summer on the motorcycles. What's not to like about a great local place on the water? Awesome burgers, cool place! Check it out.

the south lyon hotel in south lyon

You can find me here a couple times a week. Obviously, the original had so much history. It's taken time and a lot of hard work, but Chris and Corry have done an awesome job returning it to the "Hotel". My suggestion, order off of the specials menu. It changes everyday and Kamil does a great job with that.

bone heads BBQ in willis

I LOVE this place! I'm a sucker for buildings with storied pasts, and this place has that and more. Some say it's haunted. I've heard that several times. That being said, it's a nice ride on the motorcycle to get some great BBQ grub. Oh, I'm also a sucker for small town places, which this has in abundance.

hell saloon in Hell

Maybe I should've named this article "Places I like to ride my Harley to". Anyways, anyone who rides has probably ridden there. If you're looking for a good burger in a small town, this is the place. Hard to top around Halloween, too.

principle food & drink in Kalamazoo

I went there with my wife when we stayed at the famous Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo a year and a half ago. I'm just going to say this, and this is a big statement....it might have been the best meal I've ever had in Michigan, perhaps anywhere. I highly recommend. It's nice without being stuffy. .

Stingers in wixom

OK, I'm obviously partial to this place since I've hosted my Full Throttle Thursday bike night there for the past several years. But to be honest, TC always did a great job of making sure the food was above "bar food". The place always has a great crowd, and another destination restaurant to ride to.

bullfrogs in Ortonville

Another great place to ride to. I get up there at least once a year on the scooter. Always good food, and a great view out the back porch.

Rebecca's in Northville

Northville has a lot to offer as far as local eateries....this one is one of my favorites. I was just there for Mother's Day. I typically only get something off of the omelet portion of the menu. There's a a lot to choose from, or you can make your own. Pro tip: don't leave without trying the banana bread.

Zukey lake tavern

Great place to eat, drink and be merry inside or out. I personally love sitting on the outside deck. My suggestion: get the pizza! I get there a few times every summer.

huron valley gun in new hudson

This one might have thrown you off a little bit. Yes, it's a gun range...that also has a restaurant - Molly Pitchers. Not only can you get in some range time, you can have a great buffet all while watching folks target practice. It's a really cool place.
