All of my favorite albums are turning 20 this year, and it’s wild.

Now, 101 WRIF presents Godsmack and Staind at Pine Knob for a show together on Aug. 9. As it turns out, both bands have landmark albums turning 20 this year.

Godsmack’s “Faceless” turns 20 on April 8. The album features the hits “Straight Out of Line,” “I Stand Alone” and “Serenity,” so it’s obviously a huge one for them. Staind’s “14 Shades of Grey” turns 20 on May 20. This album means so much to me, because it’s one of the first records that I ever played on the radio. This record marked a sharp change for Staind into a more melodic sound. It also featured the hits “So Far Away” and “Price to Play.” The fact this show is one day before my birthday makes me extra happy.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (March 31), and The Riff has your way into the show for free here.
