101 RIFFS OF SUMMER

This summer, the heat won’t be the only thing melting your face, as 101 WRIF is celebrating the 101 Riffs Of Summer! We’re going to be spotlighting songs with some of the most epic “riffs” from your favorite WRIF bands. Make sure to listen Monday through Friday at 2pm for the daily “Riff Of Summer!” Plus, you’ll get two “riffs” on Two-Fer Tuesdays doubling up on some of your favorite WRIF bands.

  • Monday, June 12th

    Godsmack – “Rocky Mountain Way”

    A popular cover of the original Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh and his band Barnstorm. The song gets played at Denver Broncos home games, fittingly.

  • Tuesday, June 13th

    Audioslave – “Cochise”

    Cochise was the lead single off the band’s self-titled debut studio album. It was released in September of 2002 and reached number 69 on the Billboard Hot 100.

    Audioslave – “Show Me How To Live”

    It’s Two-Fer Tuesday, so we got a double dose of Audioslave. Show Me How To Live was also on the band’s self-titled album.

  • Wednesday, June 14th

    Highly Suspect – “Serotonia”

    Off their second album The Boy Who Died Wolf in 2016.

  • Thursday, June 15th

    Velvet Revolver – “Slither”

    Slither was featured on the band’s 2004 debut album, Contraband. The track won the Grammy for Best Hard Rock Performance in 2005.

  • Friday, June 16th

    Slipknot – “Psychosocial”

    Psychosocial was the second single from Slipknot’s 2008 album All Hope Is Gone. The song was one of the playable tracks in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock.
