This week, we featured epic riffs from rock greats like Metallica and Alter Bridge, along with several other classic jams. Make sure to listen Monday through Friday at 2pm for the daily "Riff Of Summer!" Plus, you'll get two "riffs" on Two-Fer Tuesdays doubling up on some of your favorite WRIF bands.

In previous weeks, we've highlighted bands like Rage Against The Machine, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, and more. The catalogue goes deep and it goes way back, covering all different aspects and angles of rock and roll throughout the years. Great "Riffs" happened back in the '60s, and they're still happening today. With the 101 Riffs of Summer, we hope to cover all of your favorites spanning across multiple generations and decades.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
