Saving Abel came through town and played the new District 142 last night. Always great to catch up with the boys.

They ripped through their set with familiar songs like "18 Days, " Miss America" and "Addicted, while sprinkling new songs like "Baptize Me" and "Kill The Radio", among others. This was the first time I've had a chance to see the band with singer Jared Weeks back in the fold. The guys gelled perfectly on stage and didn't miss a beat.

Along with Jared, Jason and Scott, I also got to meet new drummer, Dave Matthews. I brought him up during my interview with HARDY last week. Dave and HARDY both grew up in the same small Mississippi town of Philadelphia, and went to the same school. They played in the school band together. Small world! You can listen to that conversation here.

I even ran into Eva from Eva Under Fire. Keep an eye for those guys. They're playing District 142 coming up with Finger Eleven.

All in all, a great night in Wyandotte catching up with friends and meeting listeners at District 142.
