Malcolm Young would’ve turned 68 today (January 6.)
The iconic rhythm guitarist remains one of the most influential figures in rock as the backbone and creative driving force behind AC/DC. When he passed away in November 2017 due to dementia, a number of tributes cropped up including a couple of murals in Melbourne, Australia.
The Malcolm Young murals are can be found on AC/DC Lane, a narrow roadway within Melbourne’s central business district. Each mural is based on popular photographs of Young, with one being a close-up portrait and the other showing Young with a guitar.
