Will SpurrierWhat. A. Show!
Amon Amarth and Ghost killed it Monday night at Pine Knob.
I'll admit, I'm not a huge Amon Amarth fan, but you can't deny they rock! I'll say this, I am kind of a sucker for the Viking shtick. They really dig into it in a big way. The band was tight, the stage was really cool, and I really liked it...a lot.
I was there for Ghost though. I haven't seen them since 2018 at the Fillmore. As much as I loved the show, it did seem to be very much like the last one I saw. That being said, it was a theatrical blitz for an hour and a half. Tobias Forge (Papa) commands the stage like he's floating across it. His quirky sense of humor is on display throughout the set. The stage is very colorful and sharp. The band is top-notch.
I did take in the Imperium V.I.P. Experience tour. That was killer, as well!
