If you like your rock ‘n’ roll infused with blues, a hefty dose of backwoods harmonica and a hint of twang, you’ll want to check out The Record Company! They’ll be at St. Andrew’s Hall on Sunday, September 30.
The Record Company is a power trio rock band formed in Los Angeles, California. Their music is influenced by blues musicians like John Lee Hooker, and early punk and rock bands like The Stooges and The Rolling Stones. Their sound incorporates slide guitar, distorted bass, a drum kit and vocals. They have opened for a diverse number of artists, including: John Mayer, B.B. King, Social Distortion, Buddy Guy, and Trombone Shorty. In 2015, they supported Blackberry Smoke on their European tour. Their lead single “Off the Ground” reached #1 on the US Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart, and in 2016, Rolling Stone included The Record Company in their list of “10 New Artists You Need to Know”.
