WRIF welcomes Sponge and One “The ONLY Tribute to Metallica” to the St. Clair Riverfest on July 28th!
Sponge has proven to be one of the Motor City’s heaviest hitters after gaining international notoriety with their debut album “Rotting Piñata” (Sony). Emerging from Detroit with hits like “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles)” Sponge received massive airplay on radio stations from coast to coast and were in heavy rotation on MTV.
They’ll rock the Riverfest on July 28th, along with ONE… The Only Tribute to Metallica. Established in 2008,these four horsemen have brought North America an amazing national-level touring tribute to the biggest hard rock and heavy metal band of all time. ONE focuses explicitly on the audio and visual aspects of a LIVE Metallica show. Their catalog consists of over 60 songs from their early garage band days up to the legends that they are today.
