Join Community Choice Credit Union when they present Rockin’ NYE. Come out for this FREE New Year’s Eve celebration, taking place on Biddle Ave. & Maple next to the clock tower in Downtown Wyandotte. Starting at 6 p.m., guests are invited to gather in the streets to listen to live bands including Athens Creek, Handsome Pete, Sarah Sherrard and Atomic Radio along with Detroit own Sponge closing out the night!
As we turn the page for the new year be sure to gather with friends and family for the New Year’s Eve Ball Drop, powered by DTE Energy Foundation. The 1,000 pound steel ball that had 288 flashing flood lights has been renovated with color-changing LED lights to illuminate the sky with a ball drop at 9p.m. for the families and again at the stroke of midnight. The event will also feature free kids activities including a photo booth, face painting, bracelet making and noisemakers. The first 250 children (12 & under) that go to the tent will receive a 16” light-up L.E.D. LUMITON Foam Baton! The street will also be lined with food trucks, Biggby coffee, hot chocolate and more. You can also enjoy a live DJ inside a 7,000 sq. ft. heated tent.
