About: District 142
Metro Detroit is getting a new live music and entertainment venue in March 2023. District 142 sits in the heart of downtown Wyandotte. A century old two story, building has been transformed into a live music and event venue that will host national rock and country artists, regional and local bands, themed events, weddings and private parties.
Concert goers will have the opportunity to be up close to the bands on the main floor or have an elevated experience on the upper mezzanine with tables, chairs, private bar and restrooms. The venue will feature state-of-the-art lighting and sound system.
After sitting vacant for over a decade, the building has been brought back to life while retaining some of its original charm and some added character. The exterior will have a digital marquee and box office windows. The interior features an industrial vibe, with exposes the natural framing of the 1890s building while highlighting finishes like weathered wood, metalwork stairs, vintage light fixtures.
