It’s been a few years since we’ve heard from the band Taproot, but when I found out they were doing the album “Welcome” in its entirety coming up this weekend at the Machine Shop, I had to get Stephen on.
We touched on a ton of things. The start of the band, what history Fred Durst has with the band and his infamous voice mail (which you can listen to here -very NSFW), the lack of record label support, working with legendary producer Toby Wright and his recent health struggles. Plus, the unbelievable connection Taproot has with Alice In Chains that caught me a little off guard.
