The band Winger is coming to the Token Lounge in Westland this coming Saturday night, but first Kip talks to me. He was nominated for a Grammy in 2016 for a project he did which we talk about. He told me about why they decided the go with the name Winger for the band, his love for prog-rock growing up, and whether or not he feels he didn’t get the respect he deserved for his musicianship back in the day. We also talk about some of his idols and the chance to jam with several of them. That’s just for starters.
