This could be one of my favorite interviews in recent memory. I’ve known Brad since 2003 when Shinedown first started. I ran into him this past summer on the “Make America Rock Again” tour, and, after a few adult beverages, we decided that he should be a guest on my podcast! So, here we are….LOL
Brad talked about tons of things including how he got into Saliva, his time working at Bacardi, co-writing “Control” with Puddle Of Mudd, a hysterical Eddie Van Halen story from the Shinedown days, as well as the first 2 records he was on with the band.
A thing I want to make very clear is that while we talked a lot about his time in Shinedown, neither Brad or myself wanted to fling dirt in any direction revolving around his dismissal from the band. For the record, Brent Smith, Jasin Todd, Barry Kersch, Zach Myers, Eric Bass and Brad have all been VERY good to me over the years and are all quality people. I wanted to do this to have Brad talk about the beginning of the band from his stand-point and everything he’s been up to since.
I hope you guys dig this. Leave a comment or rating if you do.
Thanks!
