A Russian man returned to his apartment after 3 years and found it packed with pigeons. That's why you don't want to leave a window open!

When you're coming back home after years away, you're never sure what you might find. Did someone break into your apartment? Will all of your stuff still be there? Was there a flood? What issues will you find? You never know but you certainly wouldn't expect to find it packed with pigeons! That's what happened to this Russian man who came back home after 3 years away and found his apartment covered in poop and feathers with a lot of pigeon squatters.

According to Oddity Central, the Russian man left Vorkuta to go work in Siberia for a few years and forgot to close one of the apartment windows. Can't blame the pigeons for wanting to escape the cold and it looks like they found a good place to call home.

The video of his apartment first went viral on Russian social media and then it went viral on the world wide web, literally. It sounds like it would cost a lot of money to repair everything and make it sanitary again--pigeons are quite gross and are capable of carrying many diseases including bird flu and psittacosis. So, it's probably cheaper if he just finds a new apartment.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
