A man in India narrowly avoided death by a faulty elevator. The whole thing was caught on camera!

His timing couldn't have been better. Had he been half a second later he probably would have been crushed by a rogue elevator. As he stepped out onto his floor, the elevator shot up almost crushing him. It happened at a residential complex in Valsad, India. See the CCTV footage shared by DailyViralTV on YouTube below.

What a close call! This will make me second guess getting on an elevator ever again. This kind of thing can easily happen! You never know.

While he thankfully wasn't killed in the incident, he was reportedly injured and suffered internal injuries during the scary ordeal. According to TMZ, the man in the video is Vatsalbhai Panchal. He's got to be counting his lucky stars. To make things even more scary, there were reportedly no prior complaints about the elevator. You don't want to be the first one it happens to! What a scary scene.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
