New Collar-Mounted ‘Pet Phone’ Lets Animals Call Their Owners

Have you heard about this new Pet Phone that allows animals to call their owners? Technology has really come a long way.

If you own a pet, you might have had them be put on the phone while you were away on vacation so you can hear them or pretend to talk to them and tell them you miss them. Or is that just me? Well, now you don't need someone to hold the phone up to the dog like a fool when you want to call them on the phone. They can call you instead thanks to this Pet Phone! It's collar-mounted and definitely one-of-a-kind. Check out a video report about the new Pet Phone shared by CBS Boston on YouTube below.

It almost looks like one of those shock collars for dogs but it's not! It's just the Pet Phone. It's basically like a GoPro for dogs and when they bark or make noise it notifies you and can call their owners so they can see them and talk on their phone. It's wild. I never thought I'd see something like this.

Would you get something like that for your dog? I think mine just wants to be left alone and would turn notifications off. It is a pretty cool piece of tech though!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
