Extreme Throwback: Skier Takes Gate To The Groin

Lindsey Vonn's injury has the entire world talking. However, it's not the first time a skier's run was spoiled by a gate. It happened to a skier who took a gate to the groin back in 2007!

This is a nice little throwback to a more simple time. Back in 2007, French skier Yannick Bertrand was competing in a World Cup Super-G race when he went through a gate and injured his groin area. He had to end his run early because of it and it looks like it would have hurt. See the throwback video for yourself below.

Ouch! You can hear the pain he's in from the scream. That's brutal. Lindsey Vonn sounded like she was in a lot of pain too and I really feel for her. But it's not the first time something like that has happened!
