This incident reportedly happened on an Air Asia flight flying from Cam Ranh, Vietnam to Bangkok, Thailand. Witnesses onboard say they have never seen anything like it. Drunk Passenger Kicked Off Air Asia Flight After Stripping And Trying To Jump Off Plane
According to The New York Post, it happened 15 minutes before landing. They were so close to avoiding any trauma and then boom! Reports say the drunk passenger is believed to be Russian.
The New York Post reports that when the plane touched down the drunk passenger barged through the open door and onto the stairs before tumbling down the steps. Ouch. Despite the fall and embarrassment, he continued to try to flee but was apprehended.
He was detained and questioned on charges including endangering an aircraft, resisting crew, and causing a public disturbance.
