Indianapolis Man Starts Fire Using Blow Torch To Thaw Gas Lines

An Indianapolis man is in hot water after reportedly using a blow torch to thaw active gas lines. Don't do that!

This Indianapolis man is lucky to be alive after using a blow torch to thaw gas lines. What was he thinking? According to Indianapolis Fire Department, he was working inside a crawl space in the back of a home when the homeowner inside noticed a fire. He was able to call 911 and evacuate as the fire spread. At the time he was unsure if the man in the crawl space, identified as his brother, was able to get out. They later found he was able to get out of there. See a Facebook post shared by the Indianapolis Fire Department below.

The fire crew was able to get the fire under control and nobody was injured during the blaze. Don't take a blow torch to active gas lines! It could end up going much worse!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
