Pinellas County JailA Florida man has been arrested on a felony battery charge after hitting someone with a packet of ketchup at a bus terminal. I wasn't aware you could be charged with a felony for that!
I mean, sure, I knew you could get in some trouble for it--you can't go around hitting people or throwing things at them. But a packet of ketchup? A felony? Wow. Of course, that's not the only charge for the Florida man. He reportedly had a small amount of cocaine on him so they added a possession charge as well, per The Smoking Gun. The Florida man has been identified as 28-year-old Austin Simmons. You can see his mugshot provided by the Pinellas County Jail below.

The Smoking Gun reports that the victim was checking on Simmons who appeared to be passed out at a bus terminal. He then reportedly woke up irate and walked towards the victim, throwing an opened ketchup packet at them.
Due to his prior convictions, Simmons was charged with a felony instead of the misdemeanor charge that it would typically be. Simmons was charged with possession of a controlled substance in addition to the battery charge because he had a small amount of cocaine on him.
