9 new emojis are reportedly on their way. However, one of them might change and be replaced.

Are you someone who uses a lot of emojis? Personally, I prefer GIFs. I'm often not sure what face an emoji is trying to make. What looks flirty might be something else, what looks sad might actually be something else too. I can never tell! However, people love their emojis and now there are 9 more on the way. They include a pickle, a lighthouse, pointing thumbs, a Monarch butterfly, an eraser, a net, and a world-ending asteroid. There's also a squinty-eyed face that might end up being replaced by a cracking face, per The Topical Fruit. See a picture of the emojis that are on their way here.

Which would you rather have as an option: the squinty face of the cracking face? See examples from The Topical Fruit here. Last year, emojis like the trombone, orca, treasure chest, fight cloud, and bigfoot were approved.

What do you think? Are you excited about these new emojis or do you not care?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
