A public proposal was denied during an Australian concert. It has the whole world cringing.

Look, if you're going to make the decision to do a public proposal then you better be sure you're going to get a "yes." If you aren't, maybe do it somewhere private where you won't be embarrassed if you're given a "no." This guy should have done more planning. He should not have done a public proposal. Now, he's the butt of the joke online--not just in Australia--but all over the internet. I really feel for this guy. See the video shared by Sky News Australia below.

Ouch. That hurts to watch. This is why I would never do a public proposal--even if I was 100% sure I was getting a "yes." You just never know. You never want to be consoled by a fake Scooby-Doo like that! It just makes things worse.

It happened at a Bootleg Rascal concert in Australia. Carlos, a member of the band, reflected on what happened telling Metro, "I just called him up on stage and he started on his spiel and I thought it was super sweet hearing how they'd previously come to one of our shows and fallen in love and the crowd then started yelling, 'drop the knee, drop the knee, drop the knee' and I thought 'pressure's on, here we go!'"

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
