Please don't attack anybody with the Salvation Army donation kettle tripod. That's not what they're there for. If you want to make a donation--great! Other than that, just leave the thing alone. This Florida man probably should have taken that advice and would have avoided a lot of trouble if he had. The incident happened on December 23rd outside of a Publix grocery store in Stuart, Florida. It resulted in the arrest of 63-year-old Steven Scott Pavlik who was working as a Salvation Army bell ringer at the time, per CBS News! You can see his mugshot provided by the Martin County Sheriff's Office below.

CBS News reports that he appeared intoxicated and started aggressively confronting shoppers as they passed by which created a disturbance. When a manager approached him, Pavlik reportedly became violent and allegedly tried to attack the manager with the donation kettle tripod. Reports say the manager was not injured during the attack.
To make things worse, CBS News reports that Pavlik tried to flee the scene before law enforcement arrived. He was later found at his home and taken into custody. He was booked that same day and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence.
He was doing such a nice thing by helping as a bell ringer! Too bad it went a different direction. Read more from CBS News here.
