A Florida man is the talk of the internet after claiming he "teleported" into a stolen BMW. Do you believe his story? Police didn't either.

There are many different lies you could tell if you're caught stealing a car. You could say a friend let you borrow the car. You could claim you purchased the car legally. None of these are likely to work, I admit. However, they'd be better lies than the one this Florida man came up with. He reportedly told officers that he teleported into the car and that's how he ended up there. Not a believable lie. Not at all. The incident happened in Volusia County, Florida.

According to WFTV, witnesses reported seeing the driver going over 100 miles per hour before the crash. The suspect was eventually identified as 36-year-old Calvin Curtis Johnson who is now hospitalized and is facing charges of grand theft auto and driving with a suspended license.

Even with a better lie I don't think he was going to get away with this one. See a picture of him shared by WFTV here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
