A Rhode Island woman found a rare snake inside her apartment. She didn't know where it came from before learning it belonged to the apartment's previous tenant!

You don't want to find a snake in your apartment. If you do, hopefully it's not the kind that can end your life. Nicole Jones certainly never expected to find one in her apartment in the middle of the night. It happened in East Providence, Rhode Island. At first, she had no idea where it came from, per WPRI. So, she went to the police for help. They helped her learn that the snake was not native to the area and was not venomous, thankfully. She also learned it wasn't one of the neighbor's pets. Instead of letting it go to Animal Control, she brought it home and it grew on her. Eventually, she tracked down the apartment's previous tenant and learned the snake had been missing for months.

The snake's owner is planning on coming to pick her up soon. Sounds like the snake really grew on her and her family and now they're considering getting a snake of their own! Glad this surprise snake finding ended up going well and didn't end in a disaster.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
