For Veteran’s Day on November 11, 101 WRIF is once again honoring the men and women of metro Detroit who served in the Armed Forces with The Riff’s “Salute To The Military”. Below you can upload a photo of your friends and family that have provided their service to our country, plus post a message to thank them for all that they do.

Everyone that shares a photo and message will also be entered to win tickets to rock the holidays with Trans-Siberian Orchestra on December 27.
And starting the weekend before Veterans Day, we will be highlighting individuals from The Salute To The Military page on the air to thank them for their service and dedicating Riff Rock to them throughout the weekend and on Veterans Day.
The WRIF’s Salute To The Military is proudly supported by Northwestern Tech – The Skilled-Trades School That Works.
Northwestern Tech has been graded as a “Military Friendly” school for all that they do to help and support veterans, including:
- Accept the Post 9-11 GI Bill, Montgomery GI Bill, Veteran Rapid Retraining Assistance Program (VRRAP), Veterans Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Program, and VA's Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (Chapter 35). These VA education benefits can support up to 100% of tuition costs if they qualify. Northwestern Tech provides enrollment advisors to help veterans in filling out the forms they need in order to apply.
- Northwestern Tech provides designated staff, who are trained in working with Veterans Affairs, to assist our Veterans at the school.
