Maine police are now searching for 2 suspects who took thousands of dollars that fell off of a car's roof. The money isn't theirs but could it be?

To me, this is an interesting situation. If you leave thousands of dollars on top of your car and drive away sending the money all over the road, is it anyone's to claim? Clearly, it's not as Maine police are now looking for 2 people who took the money after falling off of the car. While it might not be legal for them to take, you have to kind of blame the driver for not putting the money safely away, no? See a video report shared by CBS Boston below.

The incident happened in Kennebunk, Maine. A man sold his car and got $7,400 in cash for it before driving off with all the money on the rood sending it across Fletcher Street, per CBS News.

Dashcam video shows 2 people picking up the money and leaving the area. Police consider it to be stolen property and are now searching for the 2 suspects. If you have info call the Kennebunk Police Department at 207-985-6121. So, it's stolen property but it also wasn't put away properly! I think you shouldn't take the money but you also have to remind the victim here not to leave money out like that! Hopefully he gets the money back and all is made right.
