The Zipper ride at a Los Angeles carnival malfunctioned trapping dozens of people inside. It happened during a Family Fun Day!

According to MSN, it happened at Our Lady of Loretto High School in the Pico-Union area. The Zipper is a very common ride that you can find at most carnivals. Reports say some of the riders were stuck on the ride for up to an hour! That's not where you want to be. Is it me or is this happening more and more lately? See a video report shared by FOX 11 LA on YouTube below.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles said in a statement shared by MSN, "We are grateful that no one was injured over the weekend when a carnival ride, operated by a third party, experienced a malfunction at a Bishop Contay High School event. We are very thankful to the first responders who arrived to help. The event was able to proceed as scheduled. The safety and well-being of all in our parishes, schools, and ministries remain our top priority."

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
