At Dearborn's historic grounds, jack-o'-lanterns will light up the night this October. Henry Ford's Greenfield Village plans a spooky makeover with carved pumpkins and costumed actors bringing Hallowe'en magic to life.
Visitors can wander the grounds from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. during select dates: October 2-5, 9-12, 16-19, and 23-26. Hand-carved pumpkins cast shadows on winding paths while storybook characters spring to life in the darkness.
This year brings a retro Hallowe'en Hop at the Town Hall. Howling werewolves spin vinyl while zombie dancers twist and shake to 50s and 60s hits.
As night falls, mist swirls around the Grim Reaper and the Headless Horseman. Watch scenes unfold from "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." The 1910 "Frankenstein" comes alive with actors adding thrills to the classic film.
Night markets pop up across the grounds. Lanterns flicker while strange sounds echo through the darkness. The old buildings take on an otherworldly glow after sunset.
Adults pay $27, while members get in for $23. Kids under 2 enter free. Want a spooky train ride? Add $5 for the Hallowe'en Express.
Thursday nights still have space. So does Sunday, October 26. But don't wait - past events sold out fast. Book now on their site to lock in your spot.
Want more than just scares? Grab a dinner package and make it a full night out at this historic spot.
