Dogs are like family members and people would do anything to keep them from harm--that includes putting themselves in danger. That's what this Florida woman did when she reportedly bit a pitbull to save her own dog. I guess you have to do whatever it takes! It happened in Orlando, Florida when 69-year-old Shirley Pasamanick and her dog were attacked outside of a grocery store. Pasamanick tells Newsweek, "I'll be 70 at the end of the month. I'm 91 pounds. I had no muscle. I did what I could." See a video report on the incident shared by WESH 2 News on YouTube below.

Newsweek reports that Pasamanick and her terrier, Sparky, were outside of the Plaza Tropical Supermarket when it happened on September 1st and it was all caught on surveillance video. In the video, she's seen getting knocked down by the pitbull who then tries to attack the smaller dog. She had to bite the dog's neck to save Sparky. Thankfully, a man eventually came and dragged the pitbull away by its leash ending the attack.
The identity of the pitbull's owner has not been released and it remains unclear if they'll face any consequences.
