This is not what you want to have happen while you're a student driver. Even a seasoned experience driver doesn't know what to do during a road rage incident. However, I guess it's good to start early and become accustomed as to what can happen out there on the roadways. This student driver definitely got a dose of that reality after another driver allegedly flashed a gun at her and her stepfather in Sanford, Florida. Check out the mugshot of the Florida man accused of flashing a gun at a student driver below.

Florida Man Arrested After Allegedly Flashing Gun At Student Driver During Road Rage Incident
According to FOX 35 Orlando, 67-year-old James Bottoms was arrested following the road rage incident in Seminole County. Reports say that Bottoms became impatient with the student driver trying to make a left turn at a flashing yellow (a cautious driver can be frustrating to be behind, we've all been there) when he pulled out a gun after the girl's stepfather got out of the car to defend her, per FOX 35 Orlando. You can't do that!
Bottoms is now facing 2 felony counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. I always thought it was a little ridiculous when people have those "student driver" bumper stickers are warnings to be patient but I guess they serve a point! If you know they're a student driver you should have some understanding that they might be more cautious. Poor student driver an experience like this might scare them out of driving for a while and understandably so!
The stepfather explained to FOX 35 Orlando what went down saying, "I said, 'Hey man, you need to calm down. I'm teaching my daughter how to drive. Have a little bit of patience. Just relax. If you're that late, you should've left a little bit earlier. To which he proceeded to point a firearm at me." That sounds like what Dave would do. Get out of the car and teach the man a lesson saying he should have been more responsible and left earlier! I can hear Chuck doing the voice now.
Meanwhile, Bottoms claims that he believed the stepfather was pointing something at him and feared for his life. He remains behind bars on the 2 felony charges.
