An Oregon man named "Loony Toon" reportedly led police on a high-speed chase. It didn't end with them driving off a canyon.

Yes, Loony Toon is indeed his real legal name. Meet Loony John Franklin Toon from Oregon. The 42-year-old has led officers on a high-speed chase and then abandoned his SUV and fled the scene on foot. Now, the story is making national headlines and going viral and it's all because of his name--Loony Toon. However, there's more to the story and t-t-that's not all folks.

Oregon Man Named 'Loony Toon' Led Police On A High-Speed Chase

According to KATU, a high-speed chase through Milwaukie and Portland ended when Loony Toon, of Portland, fled on foot and fired shots at pursuing officers.

The incident reportedly happened around 2:45am in the morning. Turns out, Toon had an active warrant and police put a spike strip under the SUV's rear tires after spotting him weaving lanes. He ran over the strips and took off going 80mph. He reportedly fired several shots at the officers from the vehicle.
