A drowning Florida man was recued by an unexpected source--a singing karaoke Tiki cruise boat! Now, they're heroes!

You really never expect to be saved by a singing karaoke Tiki cruise. However, that's what ended up happening here. They're being hailed as unexpected heroes. According to WMUR, a bleeding man ended up in the water in front of TT's Tiki Bar in Punta Gorda, Florida and a dramatic rescue ensued. Check out a video report shared by Gulf Coast News on YouTube below.

Drowning Florida Man Rescued By Singing Karaoke Tiki Cruise

WMUR reports that Cole Kelly, who operates tiki boats as charter manager for Punta Gorda Adventures, was out doing a normal cruise like usual when he spotted a man in the water who was struggling to stay afloat.

Kelly tells WMUR, "As we got closer, we saw the commotion on shore. Then it was apparent that he was bleeding really badly. Once I pulled him up, I could truly see the severity of his injuries. He was bleeding from head to toe. He had a terrible wound on his hand."

WMUR reports that the man was drinking and jumped to try to impress his friends. Not a good idea when you've been drinking! Kelly says this is the craziest thing that's happened to him during a cruise so far. I bet it won't be the last wild thing that happens! Once they got the man safely on the boat it sounds like they got back to the karaoke! You gotta respect that.

When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
