Is wearing cleats in every day life a new trend? It's one way to let everyone know you're an athlete, I guess.

Trends often don't make sense, but we all participate anyways. This would have to be an example of that. Wearing soccer cleats out in public sounds like it would be risky. They're great for walking on grass or turf but walking on pavement with cleats on would be incredibly difficult and challenging. Have you ever done it? It's hard! However, it seems to be a new trend with people wearing their cleats out in public. Have you seen people doing this? Check out a video example below.

Is Wearing Cleats In Everyday Life A New Trend?

Well, what do you think? It's not a bad look! However, I still think it's a little too weird! Kind of cool how they can match outfits, I like that. It gives you a chance to match with some athletic gear and unique colors. But I often put function in front of fashion and to me it doesn't make sense. Once you try walking in them it would be over. You can't do it!

Seems like it might be more trendy in Miami or somewhere where soccer is popular. The people have to recognize that they're soccer cleats and that would probably help. I'm not sure. I can't get on board. What do you think? See more examples shared by The New York Post here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
