EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – SEPTEMBER 18: Underwear and laundry hang from a washing line below Edinburgh Castle supporting a Yes vote during the scottish referendum on September 18, 2014 in Edinburgh, Scotland. After many months of campaigning the people of Scotland today head to the polls to decide the fate of their country. The referendum is too close to call but a Yes vote would see the break-up of the United Kingdom and Scotland would stand as an independent country for the first time since the formation of the Union. An underwear-clad South Carolina lawyer was caught with in just his undies and told cops he's Superman and God. However, that was not true.

The personal injury lawyer from Charleston, South Carolina was arrested after reports say he was found by officers in his underwear yelling loudly in the middle of downtown. That South Carolina lawyer has been identified as 53-year-old William Mullins McLeod, Jr., per ABC News 4. He was charged with disorderly conduct after cops said he was rambling incoherently. It turns out that despite what he said, this South Carolina lawyer was not Superman nor is he God.

At the time of his arrest, he was wearing only his underwear and shoes, per ABC News 4. Sounds like officers didn't appreciate him giving fake identities (Superman and God) and not having any identification. He was then placed under arrest.

Reports say while on the way to jail, he continued yelling about vague historic events as well as people in his life. When it was time to get out, he reportedly wanted to stay in the vehicle and sleep. Officers say he had bloodshot eyes that were highly dilated and was sweating profusely, per ABC News 4.

He has since been released from custody. Not only is he a lawyer, but he also ran for governor back in 2010! You can see his mugshot provided by the AI Cannon Detention Center below.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
