LOS ANGELES, CA – MAY 09: A nursing mother coyote limps through Griffith Park, the nation’s largest urban park, after fleeing flames May 9, 2007 in Los Angeles, California. The pups were not seen. The Griffith Observatory, Los Angeles Zoo, Travel Town, and various other park features were threatened but did not burn in the wildfire that broke out yesterday afternoon and forced nearby residents to evacuate their homes later that night. So far the fire has consumed 840 acres of brush and is 40 percent contained by firefighters. Five fires have broken out in the park, which is mostly native chaparral habitat open space, since December including one near the landmark Hollywood sign. Los Angeles is experiencing the driest rain season since records began in 1887. Two years ago, the city had its second-wettest winter. (Photo by David McNew/Getty Images)

Making the decision to fight a coyote with your bare hands instantly makes you a Badass. Especially if you're somehow able to win the fight! You'd really never expect that, but this guy did it. The Roxboro, North Carolina man was able to fight off a coyote using nothing but his hands and fists. That's not a fight you want to find yourself in. Check out a video report shared by CBS 17 on YouTube below.

Badass Of The Day: North Carolina Man Fights Off Coyote With His Bare Hands

According to My Fox 8, the Badass North Carolina man is 24-year-old James Pulliam. Reports say the coyote attack ended with the wild animal dead after he strangled it with his bare hands. Sounds like he's a former athlete who stands over 6-feet tall and weighs 179. He says he fought the animal for 20 minutes after it came out of the woods and charged at him, per My Fox 8.

He didn't come out of it without any injuries. At one point, the coyote had his hand in its mouth and he has multiple bite wounds to his hands and arms. He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated and given antibiotics and rabies shots as well. Now, neighbors are arming themselves with mace and weapons so they're prepared if this ends up happening to them. They're also calling him a hero for what he did. Opting to take on a coyote with your bare hands is a risky decision but he came away alive! That doesn't mean it's a smart thing to do though!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
