A snake fell into a margarita at a Mexican restaurant in Virginia. That's not what you want to have happen during your meal.

The incident happened at the Patron Mexican Restaurant and Cantina in Sandston, Virginia in Henrico County. A customer, Carletta Andrews, said she's now traumatized when a snake fell from the ceiling of the Mexican restaurant and into her drink! Can you imagine? Andrews tells WRIC that her and her husband had just finished their food when she felt something on her forehead. She tells WRIC, "I leaned in to take a sip and I noticed something hit me in the forehead and I looked at my husband like what was that. When I turned around, I saw the snake in my margarita." That would be so scary!

Eventually, it sounds like another customer grabbed it and released it outside, per WRIC. She says the restaurant offered to move her to the booth but she just wanted to leave which I could understand.

WRIC reached out to the restaurant and the owner told them he was unaware of the situation (that's not great). He said that the snake likely got int through the air conditioning unit and when asked what precautions are being taken to prevent this from happening again he told reporters, "nothing," per WRIC.

Records obtained by WRIC show that inspectors found several violations during an inspection back in December of 2024 which included mold, broken handles, missing ceiling tile in dish room, cracked floor tiles in the kitchen, and leaky ceiling tiles. They did correct those issues following the inspection. You don't want a snake falling in your drink at a Mexican restaurant. Thankfully, everyone is okay.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office.
