This time it's a little bit different. The mugshot is wild because it's of an 88-year-old woman! 88-year-old Carolyn Siegrist has been accused of fleeing the scene after plowing her SUV into the mobility scooter of a 77-year-old victim. Old Lady Busted For Scooter Crash
According to The Smoking Gun, the incident happened in a parking lot of a Sam's Club in Clearwater, Florida around 8:30am. Law enforcement say Siegrist struck Laverne Hampton's mobility scooter with the front of her Buick sending Hampton to the ground and needing to be hospitalized for her injuries. The Smoking Gun alleges that Siegrist didn't stop at the scene to render aid or exchange information.
She was arrested later that day for leaving the scene of a crash involving serious injury which is a felony. This isn't the first time she's gotten in some trouble behind the wheel. The Smoking Gun reports that she pleaded guilty to careless driving that resulted in a crash back in 2023.
