An Australian bride reeled in a shark on her wedding day! She did it in her wedding dress too!

That might be interpreted as a good sign for what's to come. She had some luck in her dress fishing and now hopefully that will carry over into her marriage. It happened in Dundee Beach, Australia. Miccala Toms is the bride who caught a shark while fishing in her wedding dress. This was supposed to just be a fun way to take wedding photos and she never expected to actually catch a shark. Video shows her on top of a rock as she catches something on the line, little did she know that it was a shark on the other end. Check out a video report shared on YouTube below.

Australian Bride Catches Shark On Her Wedding Day

In a statement obtained by Fox Weather, Toms said, "I thought I was reeling in a big fish, and it happened to be a shark." They ended up getting some extra photos they didn't expect to take during the photo session!

That's amazing, especially considering she must be big into fishing. So, for this to happen on your wedding day while wearing your wedding dress is nothing short of incredible! They did release the shark back into the ocean.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
