Global tech stocks have plummeted following the emergence of DeepSeek, a Chinese AI startup that has developed a competitive AI model at a fraction of the cost of its US rivals, sparking concerns about the high valuations of tech giants like Nvidia. This development has led to significant declines in tech shares across Asia and Europe, with markets in both regions experiencing notable losses as investors reassess the AI landscape and its potential impact on the industry’s future. Is there a reason that AI company logos all seem to resemble buttholes? Have you noticed this?

This is something that's been trending online and was pointed out by Velvet Shark. They make an incredibly good point and I had never noticed this before! Almost every AI company logo really does look like a butthole! Is this on purpose? Why is this happening? Looking at the AI company logos, you'll see a pattern amongst them. Velvet Shark points out that you'll see a circular shape (often with a gradient), central opening or focal point, radiating elements from the center, and soft/organic curves. All of these add up to look like buttholes.

Why Do AI Company Logos Look Like Buttholes?

You'll see the butthole-style design on AI company logos including OpenAI, Gemini, Meta, Grok, and more! It's seriously almost all of them!

When you start looking, you realize it's more than just the AI companies! A lot of logos out there can fall into this category! It could be a copycat effect, who really knows. It can't be intentional, even though it might seem like it because there are so many examples out there.

Design comes in fads and phases like any sort of style or fashion. Right now, we're in the butthole era. We've previously seen lower case letter era, neomorphism, flat design, minimalist, and more. Soon this fade shall go away and we'll be left with just a memory of all the logos that look like buttholes. Hopefully that change comes quickly because now that I've noticed it it's all I see!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
