Idiot Criminal Of The Day: Burglary Suspect Injures Himself During Dealership Break-In

A burglary suspect injured himself trying to break-in to a dealership. Now, he's been named our Idiot Criminal Of The Day!

To be named the Idiot Criminal Of The Day you have to do something really dumb. We talk about a lot of dumb criminals every morning on Dave & Chuck The Freak and in order to be named the Idiot Criminal Of The Day, you have to do something that really separates you from the pack and it seems like this burglary suspect seems to fit that bill. He hurt himself trying to break-in to a car dealership in Tyler, Texas. He ended up having to call 911 to get help for himself during the break-in! That's not what you want to have happen. The burglary suspect has since been identified as 38-year-old Jeremiah Megallon. You can see his mugshot provided by the Tyler Police Department below.

According to KKTV, Megallon injured himself badly after throwing a rock through a window. He was unable to get out and called for help it sounds like. He was taken to the hospital to treat his injuries before he was booked into jail. Thankfully for the dealership, the only thing that was damaged was the broken window which shouldn't be too hard to fix. He could have done much more damage but was unable to do it.

KKTV reports that the only thing he was able to steal inside the dealership was some candy from the desk of a salesperson. When you decide to commit a crime you never expect that you will end up being the one who gets you in trouble. However, sometimes something goes wrong and you have to call 911 before you're really ready to. It might ruin your attempted robbery but at least you'll be safe. You just never expect that to happen.

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn't), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it's the crime itself that's wild, other times, it's the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.

Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America's Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I'm not sure if those shows are around...and I'm certain Spike TV isn't around anymore. That's a story for another time.

Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren't a matter of life or death. There's no ethics quiz here, or any matters of 'would you steal bread to support your family?' These crimes, and criminals, aren't straight up cringeworthy.

While all of these crimes are crazy and certainly cringeworthy, they also make for excellent conversation pieces. That's why I've gone and found five examples of the wildest stories that Dave and Chuck the Freak have talked about and made a list highlighting the best of the best. Let's be honest...what's better than reading a story about one of the craziest crimes ever committed? Or, watching Dave and Chuck the Freak talk about some of the dumbest crimes ever committed? Personally, I'm going with the funny storytellers.
