Florida Man Reportedly Stabs His Brother For ‘Talking Over The Food’

A Florida man reportedly stabbed his brother because he was "talking over the food." I guess that's something you shouldn't do?

People get stabbed for all sorts of crazy reasons, we've come to learn. However, this is probably the first time we've heard about someone getting stabbed for "talking over the food" while cooking. I guess maybe he didn't want any spit to get in the food? Maybe he wanted his brother to be solely focused on the meal he's cooking so it doesn't burn? It doesn't make a lot of sense!

The incident happened in Miami, Florida. It ended in one man being arrested for allegedly stabbing his brother in the neck because he was talking over the food he was preparing. Make sense? I don't understand it either but that can happen sometimes. Not every crime will make sense, and not every crime has a motive.

According to WFLA, 20-year-old Alexander Rodriguez stabbed his brother with a kitchen knife at their Miami home after the 2 got into an argument. Reports say the brother took off into a bedroom but Rodriguez followed behind slicing his arm and his face, per WFLA! Thankfully, police and fire rescue crews arrived at the home and were able to take the brother to a nearby hospital. It sounds like when they arrived he was using some clothes to help the wounds. WFLA reports that Rodriguez fled from the home but was found hiding in a nearby tree after police set up a perimeter to locate him. He was then taken into custody.

WFLA reports that Rodriquez told detectives that he got irritated when he brother was talking over the food adding that he thought his brother was going for the knife because of his attitude. Rodriguez was booked into jail on charges of attempted felony murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. You can see his mugshot provided by Miami-Dad Corrections & Rehabilitation below.

As you can see in his mugshot, he also suffered an injury during the alleged attack. Seems like it was to his ear and it's wrapped in bandages in his mugshot photo. Don't try to attack your brother with a knife while he's trying to cook! Sounds like he was going to be eating the meal too! Not a great time to attack!
