Your hometown Detroit Lions have solidified their claim as the best team in the NFL. After another blowout victory this past weekend, the Detroit Lions have again shown why they’re the best team in the NFL. Detroit put the league on notice last year by showcasing their impressive offensive weaponry. This year, they have taken their offense to the next level.

Our Lions have made the jump from a young, talented team to the best the NFL has to offer for several reasons. With three blowout wins in their last four games, the Lions are just winning games. They’re demolishing their opponents and outscoring their opponents 154-66 in only their past four games. The offensive excellence and consistency have significantly impacted the team's success during this 6-game winning streak.

Jared Goff has built upon last season’s success, completing 84% of his passes during this streak. While Jared may not shock any NFL fans with his passing yard or Touchdown stats, he is a superb leader and exactly what Detroit has needed this NFL season. Goff has an entire unit of unselfish stars on offense who have no issues sharing the load. With no divas on offense, this allows any player to have an amazing game on any given night.

Between star talents like Sam Laporta, Jahmyr Gibbs, David Montgomery, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jameson Williams, nobody complains about targets. This is what Super Bowl-winning teams are built on. The offense has been instrumental, but we couldn’t have gotten this far without one of the most balanced defenses in the NFL this season.

The Detroit Lions' defense is, by all means, a top 5 unit in the NFL. They give up yards, ranking 22 in yards allowed. However, Detroit’s defense manages to get a ton of turnovers and does not let up red zone touchdowns. They are ranking 5th in the NFL in points allowed and tied for #1 in the league in turnover differential.

The Lions do need to generate more pressure from their pass rush, but even with the loss of Aidan Hutchinson, this defense is an elite squad. Offense, defense, and coaching have all made a significant impact on the team's overall success.

Lions coach Dan Campbell, Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, and Defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn are the best coaching tandem in the league. Dan Campbell is a people's champion and the heart of this team. Dan’s players will bleed for him, which shows in how Detroit plays on the field. They run angrier, block harder, and defend more passionately than other teams in the NFL. Dan’s coaching and schematic brilliance from both coordinators Johnson and Glenn have been crucial to their success.

What makes Detroit’s coaching so good is that they have three head coaches. All three coaches are elite and more than qualified to run their own teams.
