The Detroit Lions delivered another strong performance on a rainy afternoon vs the Green Bay Packers. Beating a less than 100% Jordan Love led Packers team 24-14. Jared Goff was a massive part of the Lions' victory, and he continues to prove why he’s a star quarterback in the National Football League.
Jared Goff was not a bad player before making his way to Detroit. In fact, he was regarded as one of the rising stars in the league. At one point, he even led the Los Angeles Rams to what was their fifth Super Bowl appearance in 2019. After losing that game 13-3 to the New England Patriots and the greatest Quarterback to ever live, Tom Brady, Goff saw a decline.

Jared Goff Was Ram's Scapegoat
Whether it was fair or not, Jared Goff received massive hate during his last few years in Los Angeles, even being labeled the problem at one point by his head coach, Sean Mcvay. Admittedly, I even thought Goff was mediocre at best before joining Detroit. Boy, has Jared proved everyone in the world wrong? After Jared Goff’s first season with the Lions, fans fell in love with him.
With little to no expectations after trading away Matthew Stafford, some fans didn’t have faith in the new regime under Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. Holmes and Campbell are now rewarding every Lions fan out there. Detroit is the best team in the NFL, and Goff is a considerable reason. Jared Goff has been playing at a Hall of Fame level these past 5 weeks.

Elite Quarterback Play
He has a completion percentage over 84%, thrown for 1100 yards, and an insane QB rating of 137.8. So yes, Goff is now an elite Quarterback in the NFL. The best part? Jared Goff has 11 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in his past five games. I’d say this isn’t sustainable play from the Quarterback positions, but then again, it shouldn’t be sustainable for 5 weeks either! Jared is my quarterback, and he’s the quarterback of the city of Detroit. He’ll lead us to our first Super Bowl in franchise history this season.
