94-Year-Old Woman Takes A Ride At Michigan International Speedway
A 94-year-old woman took a ride at Michigan International Speedway! She hit speeds of 150 miles per hour!
I think it was Jerry Seinfeld who had a joke about old people driving and how it should be when you’re 90 you should be allowed to go 90. Well, it looks like this 94-year-old woman is bringing that joke to life…and it’s no punchline! She recently rode shotgun at Michigan International Speedway in a Ferrari and hit speeds up to 150 miles per hour! Is that fast enough for you, Jerry?!
94-Year-Old Woman Goes 150MPH At Michigan International Speedway
As you get older, some of your interests might change. You might no longer be interested in going hiking. Maybe you got over your goal of competing in a marathon. However, it doesn’t always have to go that way. This daredevil isn’t losing a step as she gets older. She reportedly once drove her Lincoln 115 miles per hour and now she’s stepping things up at the Michigan International Speedway.
She tells Good News Network, “My mother used to say I came into this world running. If you’re alive, then live.” That’s a great motto to live by! It sounds like it’s not just some saying to her and she’s actually living what she’s preaching. She’s done a lot in her life! Definitely more than the average person has done. She reportedly climbed the Smoky Mountains and explored caves when she was younger. That passion has not gone away with her age. Now, at 94-years-old she’s still going fast.
It sounds like it’s always been a dream of hers to hit the speedway in her home state, Michigan, and now she can cross that off her bucket list after driving a Ferrari at Michigan International Speedway. The whole thing was made possible by a program at her retirement home, Waltonwood Twelve Oaks, in Novi, Michigan. The Adventure Program encourages residents to pursue their dreams and help make it a reality, per Good News Network. What a cool thing for them to do! I love that. A spokesperson says, “Donna is also such a joy to talk to and is incredibly passionate about encouraging others to chase their dreams, as well.” You can see an interview with her and CBS News Detroit below. Don’t be afraid to follow your dreams! So cool to see and I love that Walton Wood Twelve Oaks has this program to make their dreams come true!
