Why is a cruise line worker our Pervert Of The Day? He’s accused of setting up hidden cameras inside the cruise bathrooms!
It seems like every day lately we’re talking about someone who got busted setting up a camera somewhere it shouldn’t be so they can watch you go to the bathroom. It might be in a hotel, an Airbnb, and now we’re learning it might even be on your cruise. As if you needed another reason to avoid every taking one. It sounds like he might have filmed more than 1,000 people, per Daily Mail!
Cruise Line Worker Is The Pervert Of The Day
If you’re on a cruise, you’re probably expecting to relax and forget all your worries. You’re out at sea and miles away from home and all your problems. Or are you? This would be one way to definitely kill the vacation vibe and would only invite more stress and problems into your life.
According to NBC Miami, an employee of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship has been arrested and accused of setting up hidden cameras inside bathrooms. That man has reportedly been identified as 34-year-old Arvin Joseph Mirasol and he was arrested after a camera was found inside a guest’s stateroom bathroom on a Symphony of the Seas cruise. It sounds like the guest reached under the sink to grab a toilet paper roll when she found the camera attached to the counter and alerted security. NBC Miami points out that Mirasol was working as a stateroom attendant and his responsibilities included servicing guest cabins, cleaning, and that sort of thing.
Authorities ended up seizing his electronic devices including his phone and a USB in which they found numerous videos of naked females undressing in bathrooms and other disturbing videos as well, per NBC Miami. There was even a video of him installing the cameras so that’s likely to come back around during the court appearance to hurt him. Law enforcement believes he’s been doing this since he started working on Symphony of the Seas cruise back in December of 2023.
Not only was he busted with videos but it sounds like he also would hide under guests’ beds while they took showers and record them naked, per NBC Miami. Can you imagine!? In a statement, Royal Caribbean said, “We have zero tolerance for this unacceptable behavior. We immediately reported this to law enforcement and terminated the crew member, and we will continue to fully cooperate with authorities.” You can see Mirasol’s mugshot below provided by the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
